The majority of past research into the various aspects of the bow has been limited to two-dimensional analysis, only providing minimal information about the movement. Using high speed digital cameras a three-dimensional representation of the musician can be created.

The final product of this technology allows the technique of the musician to be captured and viewed in a way that provides an immense quantity of information.
